The 16" wheel'd MS come with bigger brake rotors and calipers which won't allow for the clearance of 15" wheels.

17's wont screw up ur spedo if u get a tire size that would make the overall wheei and tire size = to the stock size. Clay

I tried installing a set of factory 15x7 in a later model MS which i know for sure had the big brake setup and it wasn't even close- there was no way it would clear. The only explanation i can come up with is that your MS does not have the bigger brakes.

I see. I have a 2000 LS. Standard package, pretty much. Standard black trim, auto, cruise, air, no sunroof, 4 wheel anti lock disc, 3.0 litre. That's kind of intruiging, to know that some may come with bigger brakes....hmmm.
