Howdy all, A couple weeks ago when I got rear ended in my '99 Sport, the top (main) leaf in the right rear Old Man Emu leaf spring set actually snapped! I could not find a replacement OME set anywhere local or from ARB and the thing wasn't safe to drive so I took it to a spring shop and had them "rebuild" the right spring set then match the left one to it. It came out great but the ride height is a little too tall. I decided to drive it for a few weeks to see how much it "settles" then I have the option of taking it back and having them rework the springs to bring it down a bit, or raise the front to match which I'd actually prefer since I like the rear height and the ARB bumper and winch on the front has slammed it pretty far anyway (even though the bars are cranked as high as they can go). For anyone who has re-indexed their torsion bars to get some extra front ride height, a few questions: 1. Did you do it or have it done? I heard it's a pretty major pain in the a$$. 2. How many teeth on the bar did you adjust it? I'm assuming one would be a big difference. How much did it raise it? 3. Is the ride stiffer? 4. Are there any concessions (poor tracking, less travel, etc.?) 5. If you had it done by a shop, how much did you pay and how long did it take and did that include a front end alignment (which I assume is mandatory after this procedure)? Any other words of wisdom on this subject are appreciated! Mike
