Having power antenna make a lot of noise and maybe not go up or down. Have tried lubricating it but no luck as yet. It may have a very slight bend. Anyone know if this is a big time problem? Any fixes by taking apart and lubricating or is it time to get a new antenna? Anyone replace one as yet and is it a pretty easy job? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. LJ

Adding lubrication to the metal retractable antenna is a sure way to attract more dirt onto the assembly and increase the likelyhood for failure. Having a slight arc to it during high speed driving is normal and should not affect it's operation. If you see a fold or a crease in one of the sections of the mast, you'll need to replace the retractable portion of the antenna. Read the FYI section for more info.

Thanks for the info. Being new, could you direct me to the location of the FYI that has something on antennas? I have not had any luck locally in finding any Montero Manuals and would appreciate any info before just tearing into it. Thanks
