Hey, fellow Montero lovers...I need your help... I want to keep my infinity system in my Monty...however I dont know if the harness that is connected to the stereo supplies a hookup for a rca plug converter. even though I know the speakers are hooked to a factory amp. I have no idea where this amp is and I need to locate it to splice into the speakers so that I have an RCA plug for the sub. This is becoming a hassle. Give me some feedback fellas!! I need to get this sub into the Monty.

If your MS have the standard 140W 6 speakers sound system it does not have an amplifier. The optional Premier sound system (210W, 8 Speakers) does have an amplifier and it is located in the back on the passanger side panel as shown in the picture (3): The radio is connected to the aplifier with the DIN connector (1), and the harness (2) is for power and connects to the speakers.

Use a line out converter. Make it easy on yourself, tap into the rear speakers behind your head unit and be done with it. AK

How about the remote wire? Where did you go through the firewall for the power wire? Thanks
