it's not a chip upgrade , a computer reprogram- I'm going to get it done shortly because they are here in SoCal and i will dyno before and after- as per cwic's request.

they told me that its suppsoed to be 13-16hp gains, but for 400, is that worth it?

guess it is up to u. i think i could get some more out of it cause w/ my mods i have a few places in the rpm band where i could use some more timing and that is on 89 octane. the vehicles is tuned to run on 87 but i cant run on it due to knock. call back and ask if it is expected to be 13-16 at peak and if so what u can expect across the power band. Clay P.S. lmtd did u get it done yet?

I had the Jet upgrade done about 18 months ago. When I mailed in my computer I let them know that I had a high flow intake, HKS cat-back Sport exhaust, and would be running 91+ octane fuel. The results have been good. I never had it dynoed but I can tell you that it was a noticeable improvement in the power. The power band is much wider now. It pulls better below 3000RPM than stock and really comes on hard up to red line after 3000RPM. Very usable power. Don't waste your time with the Jet V-power module. It helps but not until well after 3000RPM.

is it ok to drop it back to 87 octane when the gas prices get too high?

NO. You'll need to stay with high octane after the upgrade or add octane booster on a regular basis.

the whole point of the reprogram is to allow the engine to run/make power on the higher octane which is a slower more controlled burn as ur ignition timing will be advanced and u will need the slower burn to avoid knocking and pinging(detonation) Clay
