yes you can use it to lean out the fuel. i would also suggest you get a wideband so you know what your air to fuel ratio is unless you already have some way to monitor it. remember you dont want to run too lean or the truck will kick a code. Clay I would like to update this post. You can not use a SAFC to lean out your fuel because the ecu will only allow changes in open loop or near full throtle. If you try to tune in closed loop which is roughly 60% throttle and or load the ecu will be making constant changes.

Yep that's why I got a different one. Kept trying to over fuel the vehicle. also the programmer seemed lacking on settings.

does it matter if its a dry cell and runs stainless plates since its not contained in the unit with water surrounding it?

You cannot run your montero or any other car on water efficiently, the technology simply does not exist yet. Sorry to say.

The electrolysis of water requires a minimum of 286 kJ of electrical energy input to dissociate each mole. Since each mole of water requires two moles of electrons, the specific electrical energy required is 143 kJ/mole (8.9×1023 eV/mole). It follows then that a minimum electrical power input per ampere is implied, namely 1.48 W/ampere. In turn, the minimum electrolytic potential for electrolysis of water of 1.48 V (not 1.23 V). Thus, any current (I) at applied voltage (V) greater than 1.48 V is an overvoltage and results in waste heat which can be estimated as I×(V-1.48)

So,what ever happened on this topic? It stopped with the post below. Did anyone ever get the engines running on hydrogen ? okayI found out that a gallon of distilled water(when mixed properly) can produce 1,866 puonds of browns gas. And I am going to try it at least. I dont even have 100.00 in my unit and should gain an average of 40% increase edward.

It is just a dead technology. It produces more toxins that it's worth after more research was done on my part. Hexovalient chromium to be exact. Sent from my SM-N900V using proboards

You need a wideband O2 sensor and an AEM F/IC or equivalent. This technology isn't anything special. The turbo/supercharger guys have been using it for years to "adjust" the FA mixtures without irritating the factory ECM/PCM. I don't remember who it is anymore, but someone on her already had a F/IC 6 installed. The DSM guys run 'em and I'm THIS CLOSE to having my F/IC 8 installed on my 3.5L conversion. An alternative - and much more flexible but much more complex and not smog legal - is MegaSquirt. Edward
