I have an '01 3.5XS 4x4 with 29K on it. The original tires are the Bridgestone Dueler H/T 689s I will need to replace them in the next 5K miles. Not too impressed with the wear and I always ran close to the Mitsu recommended pressure of 26psi, actually I run about 28psi on all 4. I live in PA and we have had about 36" of snow so far this year. I do all around driving to include highway, city and off-road and am looking for a good all-around all weather tire. Any feedback from anyone on tires would be appreciated. I am also checking on the Tire Rack site.

I've got an 01 XLS, and live in the Pocono Mountains. Put on a set of Yokohama ATII's (265/70/16), and they have been excellent in all the bad weather we have had this winter. They have an agressive tread pattern, but with a "P" (passenger) rating, so they have not taken much away from the ride or handling. Got them from Tire Rack. You can see them on their site, and see the ratings they have gotten from buyers. BFG AT/KO's are also an excellent choice, especially if you are also offroading your Sport. Have a set of these on my Jeep, and they have been great in the snow. They are a bit stiffer than the Yoko AT's, but they are fantastic offroad when aired down properly.

I put the Michelin Cross Terrain and My 2000 MS Limited and I could not be happier! The MS drives better, is quiter, smoother, corners better and no front-in vibration. I feel like I am driving a new and improved MS. I highly recommend these tires to everyone that would prefer a tire that allows you to drive with confidence. The Bridgestones were junk!

I have Geolander AT+II on my 98 and they are great. I drive city, highway, and off road and are awesome in all of these. Yesterday I did some mud riding ( about six inches deep and got me thorugh with no problem. Plus they clean out real fast.

I put 265/75-16 BFG AT/KOs on my 2001 LS 4x4 at about 25,000 miles (the original Yoko Geolanders were completely shot!). It was a toss up for me between the BFGs and Bridgestone Duelers. All my buddies run with either of those, and they are getting between 50,000 to 55,000 miles out of them!
The BFGs are great! More road noise than with the original POS Yokos...mostly at lower speeds, only a bit at highway...nothing truely noticable...after all IT IS a truck! Fantastic off-road grab.
Highly recommend the AT/KOs, especially with that extra flare on the side of the tread for mud. Rain, snow - I've had no problems.
Cheers, Stod
