When buying a used 99 should I buy an extended warranty from the dealership or credit union? Or do I even need to bother? Just curious to see what most of you have done. thanks

Don't buy an extended warranty from the dealer. Extended warranties and any other extras ("paint protection", "fabric protection", etc.) are HUGE markups for the dealer - and a bad deal.
Your best sources for extended warranties are 1) your credit union or bank; 2) internet sources. I would recommend your credit union...they kind of have a vested interest to protect when you finance through them...and should offer pretty good sources.
I did not buy an extended warranty when I bought my '01 MS (new) but I have the option to purchase up to the end of my factory warranty and will be looking into it then.
Cheers, Stod
