i'm adding the navigation unit to my head unit. it has a magnetic antenna puck that goes on top of the truck. my question is, what's the best way to run a cord up and out of the truck? I'm guessing i'll install the antenna puck back by the 3rd brake light on the roof. do i cut through the weather stripping and reseal it? what would you do? let me know. thanks.

I would use a drip rail and place the antenna (puck) on the rear right or left. (up to you) then pigtail the wire and use small drops of super glue to attach the wire in place (under the drip rail on top of the painted metal pinch weld) run the wire into the rear hatch jamb. Don't cut the rear seal molding. pull it off run the wire on the inside of the the headliner and down the back panel then under the carpet. It sounds easy I know? But when ever you are adding anything to a truck you should never have to drill/cut anything. If you put your mind to it you can do a real professional job without hacking up your truck. By the way I would use a small piece of 3m adhesive tape and make sure the surface of the truck is clean before sticking the puck on.

thanks spoon. plugged it all in. placed the puck left side by back roof rail. ran antenna wire inside of plastic side that meets the headliner, inside the weather stripping along the door, under the step plate on the doors and under the front seat. I unbolted the front seat and pulled it out so i could get everything nice and tidey under there. works sweet. data bus cable goes under center console to back of head unit.

Hay make sure your using a torque wrench on that seat belt bolt I know for fact all of them have a torque spec of at least 85 foot lbs(some are more). and if there was thread lock on the bolt use the approved color thread lock when you put it back together.
