Hi everybody,
My 2002 XLS AWD (5000 mi) has a clunk in the front end at very slow speeds, especially while turning or going over a small bump. Does anyone know what this might be?
Also...it seems to have a bit of play between the steering wheel and the front end. This might be normal for the AWD's but it was nice and tight when new. Is this a problem?
Thanks, Aaron

I've had the same problem with my '01 LS 4x4. At about 25K dealer said they found a grease boot "empty" with no leakage evident (hmm...they are the only ones that have ever serviced it!!). Any way, problem still exists. I'm going to bring it up again at the next service (33K)...and again after that so that it's on the record multiple times. The front suspension is the one area that I've been really disappointed in with my MS (creaks, groans, thunks, clunks, squeeks). If they don't solve it next week at my service, I'm going to ask for a meeting with the Mitsu District Service Manager.
Cheers, anyway. Stod
