ok guys, after some research...i apparently have a pretty rare monty. its a 98 MS es 2.4l, ie 4g64 motor sohc, 16 valve. I talked to a DSM guy the other day and about 90% of the parts that come off the eclipse 4g63t motor are compatible with it. THerefore i am looking for manifolds, turbos, injectors, vafc, etc.
Looking for a 1gen turbo manifold 450cc injectors t25/t28/16g turbo 255lph fuel pump turbo oil lines intercooler of any type (ill make it work)
goal: 200hp @10psi 280tq
realisticaly: 160rwhp/240tq @ 5-8psi
let me know what you guys think.
truck runs great. probably going to have to drop the motor and inspect the main bearings and replace all seals and piston rings prior to the install but im being optimistic. its a junkyard turbo build.

sounds fun. besides the eclipse, does the talon or gallant have the same of some of the parts? you'll have to find all common engines and then go junking. you are planning on buying anything new?

any 2.0l dsm motor, their all compatible, some heads flow better than others. only thing new i really care to buy is going to be the fuel pump, other than that, injectors used, manifold used, turbo used, or new. used vafc, etc. gonna start picking up parts over the next year and start next winter or fall. gotta fix my other car first. the MS is my DD, i own a 2001 Bullitt mustang that is my garage baby i been modding for few years now and trans finally couldnt hold up any longer so thats what im working on first is putting a trans in it

I have a Cyclone intake off a 4G63 not sure if its off a turbo version but it looks pretty cool I will check when I get back to the shop, and try and grab a picture of it.

bwahaha im on my 2nd transmission and still goin strong, only got 51k miles on the bullitt though. so im keepin my fingers crossed, prolly sticking NA with it though, gonna get the 4.6 stroker kit, TFS 44cc twisted wedge heads, custom ground cams, new fuel rails, proted intake manifold, accufab TB and maybe some spray if not a decent blower. same setup on a 00 gt minus the blower made 604rwhp on a 125 shot..... we shall see

o after further research, i would have to get a full eclipse wire harness, new ecm, new heads, diff block since mine is only a 2 bolt, custom welded int manifold, etc etc etc awww eff it, im jus gonna keep my MS running, after i replaced the head gasket, new valves, new seals, new lash adjusters, im keeping it till she blows then maybe do a 3.0 or 3.5 turbo swap

How much were you thinking it was going to take before learning this? The ECM and harness may be tough but you could get a stand alone. Heads could be ported and the 2 bolt was in the early VR4 and were just fine provided there were no crazy boost levels involved. Maybe new rings and pistons but it doesn't seem too crazy for a turbo ed engine. Clay

I wish I had a 4 cyl. You can tune with a tantrix cable. Google tantrix cable and the ecu is the same base as my evo. You can use an evo mass air flow meter. Install a walbro 255 pump, run stock evo injectors which are 560 on evo 8. You can run an evo intake manifold and eBay a manifold for whatever turbo your gonna run. Custom down pipe and some customer piping. 5-10 psi should make plenty of power and hell of a lot less costly than our 3.0 and 3.5's.

will i have to cut and weld the evo manifold? or will it point forward with the way my MS is setup for FR? the eclipse manifold will point the throttle body to the rear of the truck
