Hey Guys
For a 98 Montero Sport, V6 3.0 liter Any body have any tips on changing the rear cam shaft seals as mine are leaking a little bit.

there is an easy 'how to' about it, the passenger side isnt that hard but the drivers side is a bit of a challenge. Its like 3 bolts per side, pop it out replace the seal and your set. The only issue I had is the O'reileys guy saying there was no rear cam seal that they had, so its most likely a dealer part

Yes it is a dealer only part. Passenger side is harder than the driver side.2 12 mm bolts on each one. Don't nick the plug seal at all. Apply oil to the new ring and slide on. Pop the driver side splash shield off and remove driver side tire. DO NOT mis position driver side seal plug. Make sure to mark how it came out. Passenger side is a bit time consuming.
