Have an 01 3.5l sport and am about to do the timing belt jig and was wondering if a spacer is possible ( I have seen some old references) and if it adds anything. Gonna be doin the spark plugs/wires, cold air intake (whats the consensus on best location passenger side through firewall, fenderwell, up front somewhere behind headlight?)
Also, what about the diamante throttle bodies and/or upper intakes? worth it/or too much trouble (as in have to chip or something)?
Any part numbers/details appreciated

The easiest way I know to modify the TB is to have it bored 5mm. This is something that Will give you a noticable increase in throttle response.

The throttle body spacer is meant to insulate the tb from heat, not sure about gains though. Whats this about Diamante throttle bodies, I have one from a 95 it will bolt up, but it doesn't have both of the vacuum lines coming out of it, just the EGR line, I believe.

read, either here or miata turbo forum, that its a larger dia. But, haven't looked at specs or really anything else about it. But since you have one you would know best.
Seemed like a factory upgrade.
like I said since I have to do all this work to switch a belt might as well do all I can to make this lead box move a bit more efficiently.
