I really want an air intake idk cold air or just plain old intake I just want the sound and if i could squeeze some performance out itd be great, does anyone know a cheap, easy way to go? ive seen some real elaborate ones but I dont want to get in over my head. any help is appreciated if ya'll can.

i saw a kit at auto zone says universal air intake by spectre i dunno if itl work tho?

Yeah thats the one you want, you just need to make sure the MAF adapter plate will fit

and itll still sit in your original air box and make use of your stock snorkle from under the lip of the hood

Whoa wait, so you can have a cone filter enclosed in your stock box setup?? I would think the top of the box would hit the cone filter while it sits inside. If that works then I am switching back to my cone set up. I went back to stock because the heat of my engine was killing the cone flter I had

no you remove the top of the box when you separate the maf from the lid. buy a heat shield from ebay to put on your cone

since montero02 has exhaust opened up he should make a pipe to cut down on less restrictions to the intake side to make the most power and fuel economy but to each his own

Sweet, sounds like an inexpensive way to get a few more mpg's, although I like the way those replacement systems look. So you need a MAF adapter with this setup too?
