I just picked up my 1998 montero sport, and the fuel filter apparently rusted away and blew fuel all over, needs to be replaced.
I know where it is, but I cant seem to unbolt the filter from the fixed line. wondering if theres any trick I need to know, I saw what appears to be just a random block bolted to the frame. Should I take that out and get more clearence for the wrench?

ahh old topic from past. dang it mxmike u reply 3 months later lol im sure he got it fix by now. and dang it tnrk you should came back and reply haha. anyone reading this for info on how to then i suggest a few things long handle wrench / depending what your doing a long ahndle ratchet or breaker bar. the correct size soket the first time! closed in crow feet sockets and try pb blaster to help free things up. a hammer can help loseing things up but no matter what be careful to not srip anything out or break anything.
