So I was looking at my sport it is an XS in Phoenix Red with black trim outside. Inside is all grey.... Seats, carpet, dash, and all the plastic bits too are silver. I looked at this and thought how ugly. So I am thinking about painting the silver plastic bits another color or some pattern. I don't know any ideas or thoughts. I am talking about the piece around the gauges, and the window switches. So any ideas on how to go about this would be great.

Automotive paint/body supply stores sell plastic paint for doing what you're talking about. We've used it in a few Chevelles, a couple Novas and a couple 'Birds. Works pretty well if you follow the instructions. Edward

Thanks for the info. Still not sure what I am going to do. Might pick up a few pieces and try out some different things see how I like different patterns and textures.

I think I might do a fabric with decoupage. It will look pretty cool and be a good contrast to the plasticy look.

You could also consider buying some OEM wood grain (brown) switch and gauge bezels if you have $$ to play with.
