Hey everyone,
I bought a set of Airlift 1000s for the MS. Want to haul dirtbike without so much droop. I thought about springs but decided that I would try this first for my limited requirement.
Has anyone had these installed for more than a year? Any splits on the seam? I read a few other articles that people complained that sometimes they bust on seams.
Thoughts?

I have a year on mine. They seem fine structurally. We just don't like the bounce when the vehicle is unloaded and the added height of the rear. Even with the minimum of 5lbs in the bags they are bouncy and noticeably raise the rear. I know this means my rear springs are shot, which was the point of buying the bags. I have Bilestein rear shocks that have no more than 30k on them so I don't think that is the issue.
I end up leaving about 20 lbs in the bags all the time so it firms up the rear enough that there isn't bounce but the back end is awkwardly high. Thinking about getting new OME rear springs, cranking up the torsion bars and ditching the bags.

Did you install with the air inlet at the top of the spring or the bottom? Instructions say top, but I found a few MS guys running around with them facing down. emersonhart13

Looks like they can't face down due to bottom spring perch is a solid piece of metal without holes.

I love/hate mine. They were excellent when towing a couple thousand pound trailer. They are way too bouncy otherwise. Mine are completely deflated which helps when empty but it's probably not good for the bags. I'll probably ditch mine.

I am currently running about 1-2 lbs, just enough to keep them tight. If it kills the bags so be it, but it works well as I have little bounce, it helps with the sag, and doesn't stick the *** way in the air when empty.

good feedback...I think I'll have some time this weekend to install. Looking to start hauling my dirt bike a trailer around a little more.

hey guys long time I haven't been here...driving over the road. I got my airbags almost 10 years ago, and still good. I do tow my 5000lb boat , but when I'm not towing I let all the pressure out.but that does not mean they can be crushed. because of there shape they will still have air in and it will not let your rig to bottom out
