Hello all. I have a 99 Montero Sport and I am about to have the rear leaf spring perches relocated from the bottom of the axle to the top in hopes to get 2-3" of lift in the back. Frontend, I'll just crank the t-bars. I've heard of others doing this, but I am wondering if I will need to do anything else (ie brake line extension, longer or shorter shocks, etc). I'll have a local shop perform this...a shop that is known for modding and building 4x4 machines, so hopefully, he is competent. There just isn't a lot of info on these vehicles so doing a google search doesn't yield much useful information, so turning to the forum. Thanks.

I'd definitely look into different shocks that have farther travel. A's for brake lines I have 2 inch body and 2 inch suspension lifts, and felt my front brake lines were under tension when suspension was at max extension, so I replaced mine with longer braided steel lines. Figured the lines were 16+ years old. Couldn't hurt. Front was a lot worse than the back.

Well, technically, I want a nice winch bumper...but yours isn't cracked and broken and in pieces. Thanks for the reply. I'll do the brake lines before my body lift then

Why flip them? Its gonna be ALOT more than just 3-4 inches. Also flipping them you run the risk of "hopping" and a harsher ride.
