Hey what’s up... so for some time I’ve had the engine just cut out randomly under load at various times. Nothing constant. Spent a lot of money replacing all the plugs, wires, coils, cleaning intake manifold etc. finally it threw a code when it wouldn’t start for my wife the other day and seemed to cut out more this time. Took to dealer thinking maybe they could find something I couldn’t like issue with MAF or Fuel pump etc. They are not sure if it’s my MAF, but say it’s cuz you filter was a lil dirty and contacted their corporate office for help. Now they are trying to say it’s related to my Injen intake and Mits ECM’s don’t like them. Even before that I have had a open air filter... looking for ideas.
My thoughts are maybe throw money at it till it goes away because my family needs it to be reliable. Maybe replace MAF... TPS? PCM? Maybe O2 sensors. Maybe even fuel filter and pump? She’s only got 130K on her but they don’t really have any suggestions for me. They said maybe your cat, but I’ve passed smog with noniss us.

Ok so it’s a P0102 code related to low air. .... dealer says code dropped on its own and can’t duplicate. Grrrr. I’m just gonna do the MAF and TPS and see how she does.

P0102 is usually the MAF, try reseating the connector while the engine is running and see if any changes in RPM

Went all in replaced MAF and TPS she feels likes she’s back to 100% I’m thinking one of the two have been a problem for a while. No cuts outs so far. Gonna push her on the freeway today and test full pedal to the floor...
