Hello, new member here. Anyways I am needing to replace my alternator on a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero sport with the 3.5. I am seeing that the alternator part number that fits from 1994 to 2004 is 13692. Now there is another alternator with part number 13786 that says it will fit 1998 to 2000. They both look identical to me. I am curious because the 13786 is available to me much cheaper than the 13692 but I am ordering online so I want to get the right one.
Thank you all so much!!!

Considering no reply, 🤦♂️ I found those part numbers everywhere. So I used Rockauto. Both numbers indicate a 85amp output. The variation could be a mount or electrical connection🤷♂️. Do your research.👌 Lol,, I'm shopping also. Same vehicle. But looking for more amps, 100 or better would be great. Post your recommendations please. Cheers 🍻, G.

I just recently purchased a supposed 100 AMP for $81.12 before shipping from CARID about a month ago now. Part Number: 13786N
I have no way to test the actual amp output yet, I need a ammeter.

Yea the 100 amp off the montero works just fine you just need to reroute the harness.
