I have had a similar scenario with an Isuzu Hombre, new pumps kept getting fried and replaced(under warranty of course) could not find the source of problem even though initially replacement seemed to fix prob. turned out to be an insufficient ground for the pump. Simply had to grind off some undercoat and reground and it's been running like a dream ever since.
Worth a try? 2000utesport
