Come on guys, let's make the forum more interesting. Post off topic subjects...current news, sports, other cars and suv's, opinions on things, funny sites, jokes, etc. But let's keep it appropriate. Let the posting begin.

Ya Mon!...Jimmy Cliff. Used to spend a lot of time on the north shore of Jamaica. My wife spent a few years growing up in Jamaica. Her uncle had a cola nut farm (I never thought about GROWING cola nuts!!). She still has flashbacks about having to eat mutton during lunch at school. Guess what's never served at our house! Other off topic...I'll probably be posting some questions about configuring a wireless network for my house for some of you computer guys. I've had a 768K internet access cable modem laughing at me for about a month now (still stuck at the 53K stuff). Tried running it through an Intel Gateway II wireless hub/router to an Intel PRO/Wireless USB adaptor. Couldn't get the damn thing to work. Returned the Gateway II for a Linksys (802.11G) model...still waiting for UPS. Will do a new post if I can't get the Linksys configured. Cheers, Stod

nice to know someone knows good *ss music when they here it, YEAH-lucky dube! i'll be making my 7th trip to reggae on the river this year and hopefully most enjoyable. the reggae scene in utah is DEAD but that is how it goes 'round this mofo. but i still love this state , it is a beautiful and spectacular area to visit if your not downtrodden because of the liqour laws all that computer talk has me confused. i'm new at this computer gig, i just got one for the first time. but in time i will know what's up. p.s.20TH ANNIVERSARY R.O.T.R!!!!! it will be a great show.

hmmm.......sounds good in a gyro, but from the sounds of it it's probably NASTEEE! LOL however it's something i'd be willing to deal with living on the sandy, sweet shores of JAH-MAICA. ;D

He yo Stod! ;D so do u do alot of wheelin' in your 'o1 ls? or is it mainly a street rig? I like to get my rig out there and test it out a few times a year at least. I haven't got to test out my new Old Man Emu 2" lift yet, though. I just haven't had the time yet. Well, anyways, I'm just trying to keep this thread going. 2000utesport ps oh yeah, thanks for replying to that email i sent u.

Off road is limited to muddy vineyard trails and ranchland areas on the CA central coast. A few trips in the sand at Oceano dunes and a few trails in the high Sierras (around Bridgeport). I'm looking for easy to moderate stuff - it's still the family truckster (with payments and all), so body damage isn't in the radar.
I really wanted to go up to Hollister Hills last weekend for the NorCal Gettin' Off 4x4 Club event (beginners/moderate) but my family travel schedule didn't allow it - wife plugged in a non-refund junket with the kids to Disneyland at the last minute, before I leave for a golfing trip to Houston.
Cheers, Stod

Cheers, Stod Stod, This Hollister Hills place, is it open year round? And where is it exactly? I'll be in NorCal 'round the 1st of August and something cool sounding like that is definitely in my radar! 2000utesport

Hollister is about 45 minutes south of San Jose, about 2.5-3 hours north of Cambria/San Luis Obispo. I haven't been to Hollister Hills, yet...I hated missing the NorCal 4x4 "open house" they had. A couple of great golf courses in the area, too.
Cheers, Stod

Fourwheeler Magazine holds its annual "Tuff Truck" competition at Hollister. I got one of the videos from one. Looks like a great place to take your 4X4 for a day. We have something similar here in Pa. called Paragon Offroad Adventure Park. It is becoming a big attraction here on the East Coast. The Jeep club I belong to has helped set up the trails there. The best part for me is I live about 45 min. away.

So my question is when they help set up trails, do they actually construct some of the trails via heavy equipment or slightly modify existing obstacles or is it a simple case of route designation? Could you describe the "Park" a little more to me? I am interested to know if it is a small man made course or a wide open state area? Yo, just wingin' it 2000utesport
