I just finished installing a set of www.leatherseats.com replacement leather skins on my VR4 and was quite impressed with the quality of the product. The original 14 year old leather was cracked open in several places and had some major tears along the stitching. There was no saving it and it was a complete eye sore. Not only is the leather of great quality, but the stitching and seem work was excellent- resulting in an overall factorylike fit. After a little break in and some warm weather, the leather should work its way around the cushion and settle into a glovelike position. Installation is a major PITA and should be done with great care or should be done by a professional. I have seen a few sets installed on Montero Sports with custom ebroidery and they look awesome. Here are some pics of the completed work- still waiting to give it some break-in as so far, they've only had a few minutes of actual "butt" time. Joel, CA

Okay.. so now you've seen how well the www.leatherseats.com replacement leather looks on the 92VR4... i was so happy with it, i bought a set of replacement skins for my 96TT. This time, i have before and after pics since i decided to go away from the stock appearance going with a two tone look. So here it goes: BEFORE Notice the faded and peeling leather AFTER I'm still working on the carpet so the seats are still sitting in the living room floor JJ

Thanks. I've seen aftermarket kits installed on MS's before, but i'm not sure where the kits came from. Okay- so i finally found time to finish off the upholstery work and also did a little clean up of the interior including stripping out the original carpet and steam cleaning/pressure washing it. I also rubbed down the interior vinyl with Mr Clean Magic Eraser. For those of you with dirty and sticky interior panels- the Magic Eraser works wonders even getting down deep into the texture of the material (the P.O. towed around 2 kids in the back seat- it was obvious with sticky coke soaked carpeting and all the garbage that made its way under the carpet) To maintain the black on tan theme- i removed the dirty/faded tan grille cloth from the rear panels and installed matching black cloth. I'm also going to redo the door inserts in black or perhaps try to do a two tone job on them. I'm just waiting for the material to arrive before i work on it. So this is where i'm at- car isn't quite put together completely yet. Work in progress. new black grille cloth over the rear speaker grilles JJ
