you can run a 265-40-22, for the same ride as you have or a 265-35-22 for a rougher ride. but both of them will work.

"22 inch" and "ride quality" should NOT be in the same sentence unless it's something negative. The more wheel you have, the less tire cushion you have- The less tire cushion you have , the more air pressure you need to use to protect the wheels. All of this equals a very poor ride. When moving up to 22's, looks is more a priority at that point and ride quality becomes a non issue... I've driven sports with 17's, 18's, 20's and 22's and I could honestly feel the difference in ride even at 17". Joel, CA

I agree with Joel, ride quality will be nil. You should, in theory, have better handling and cornering. But the Sport (or most any SUV for that matter) isn't much of a "corner-carver". If you lowered it, you would be able to take more advantage of the big wheels. And for Gods sake watch out for pot holes! At what, $350+ per wheel, that could get real expensive. Heck, even hard cornering can bend a wheel that big. They are indeed mostly for looks.

screw the 22's and get some dubs...i got a set of 20's and there wrapped is some fatty goodyear eagles (285-50-20) and have a wonderful ride, and feels like the stock big rubber...ride quality is huge, and so is big chrome...20's are mean...22's are for escalades...leave that alone...

u can get 22's and run a 40-45 series tire. It wouldnt be any different than putting a 265/75/16 on a truck for more clearence. Just do the math so u don't go over a 32" tire cause it will rub. That should take care of rough ride and it will still look good. Clay
