Kick Panel speaker pods kick butt and are your best option for both sound quality and stereo imaging! Unfortunatly- premanufactured kickpanel pods are saved for more popular vehicles . Most reputable independent car stereo installation retailers can custom fabricate some then cover it in matching vinyl to match you're interior. JOel, CA

I used a couple of butter tubs and popcicle sticks to make the kick pods for my old Tacoma. ;D. Make a speaker mounting ring out of MDF the same size as the outside of the speaker and cut out the mounting hole. PLace this inside the butter tub so that the grille of the speaker will be flush with the tub. Use the butter tub for the enclosure and the sticks for the bracing and spacing. Put your speaker in the tub with the source connected so you can aim them. Twist and turn them around until both speakers in the pods sound like they are aimed about a foot or so above the center console arm rest dead center in the car. Then use the sicks to brace the tubs in place. Make a cardboard template for the rear sides of the enclosure(the fire wall side and the foot well side), Then transfer those onto 1/4 inch MDF . place the tub/stick frame onto the MDF back pieces. Use screws to hold it all together, then double check the sound stage with these rough frames in place. If you are happy, then get an old sweatshirt and stretch it over the top of the frame and staple it to the sides (not the back) of the MDF back and side pieces. Use a paintbrush and brush on fiberglas resin. Onece the resin hardens so that there is NO flex in the shirt material, cut out the font and mount the speaker, run wires and test for sound one more time. If it sounds good, take out the speaker, run a couple of screws into the floor through the MDF and hook up your speakers. I also recomend adding a little fiber fill into the enclosure. This is the short version of how to do it. I have done other pods other ways, but the butter tubs give a little bass up front, and the goldesoft margerine? ones work the best for 6 inch speakers. ;D Oh,- dont eat all the butter
