I know i am a lil more into the custom end of this than most, but i wanted to say something that may hit home with some of u! If not no biggie but its my thoughts. I got my sport cuz i needed something to drive while my other rides were tore apart. After a short time i started werking on it to, cuz no one would look at me in my stock sport! plus stock aint me and i love the damn thing so i started to cut into it. The thing i like about it is it is different, other than u guys on this site i havent seen anyone else do one up! so i started going a bit farther than most but again thats in my blood i want to stand out! My point is that i see alot of people on here wanting to do stuff to there rides, and that is great! but i want u guys to look outside of the suv barier and find **** that hasnt been done before to one. Different is good! dont end up like every import guy u see! wow how many civics do i need to see with stickers big rims and a bunch of tupperware on it! And just becouse u can got to the store and buy a kit to do something dont make it custom. If u want things done look at things that go on other cars and make em werk. I am a minitrucker if it dont hit i will make it fit! i will lay mine out and it will be the lowest ms there is cuz no one is doing it yet! and that is what gets me going! I hope that mybe that will give some of u a nudge to get out in the garage and cut up your ride! if not im sure u think im nutz, but remember that when i got mag coverage! lata all! Oh yeah check out more of my club at www.slowdraggin.com

I know what you're sayin'. I started out with my 88 toyota mini draggin the frame. And I loved the way people looked at me when I had to do a 7 point turn because the wheels tucked so for I could barely make corners.( and the huge BLO-ME sticker in the window) I also agree that vinyl belongs on the inside, not on the outside! ;D Body kits are OK, but metal kicks ***! The truth is, I want to start workin on the MS, but lack of funds is a major issue this year. I quit playing paintball this year so that my wife could go back to school, so beatin up the ride will have to wait. I have been doing some resto-mods to my mustang, but not as much as I want to. Anyway, I agree that there is nothing cooler than shavin and choppin and baggin a truck. I wish that I had the $$. Lets see some pix!

I really have to agree with oz, custom means CUSTOM, not aftermarket add-on(not stock type) custom. I've done a few small truly custom mods, but it gets really involved doing some things(like trying to obtain a 10 to 1 power ratio without NOS) and gets expensive quick. Now, I don't playa hate, but paintballer dude, modifiying any vehicle to perform better than stock from any angle is just plain retarded...no matter how you look at it. Lowered civics, intregras and accords are great looking, but as my sayin goes: Screw you fool, you just for show..my vehicle actually goes! ; If you want to develop a show vehicle, keep it for show. No body wants to see your lowered(or raised) show vehicle stop traffic cuz it just plain can't do any better. Those in guam haven't figured this out yet, so maybe thats why I haven't been beaten at a race yet...But to all those elsewhere, smarten up. Drive PEFORMERS over the road, and keep your 7point turns in the showcase, or on a trailer...

Sorry man no trailer queens! i do agree with some of eagles coments but i dont care what it is if it comes in on a trailer i dont want to look at it! jere in chicago we have this cavalier that is just that all 4 sho everyone in the club swears it runs 9's but it can hardlt get out of the trailer! Yeah the 7 point turns are kinda a pain in the *** but with custom comes its drawbacks. Now im a lil on paint ballers side anyway cuz of the toyota thing god knows i need to werk on mine, but i have to do up what im drivin so i can turn heads. Luckly i do all my own werk so it helps on the coin end, cuz i feel your pain bro! but after your wife gets out of school u should have extra coin to throw into what ever! Thanx for undrestand guys! That means alot. Now im going to get back in the garage and see what else i can dream up! I should have new pics on mt car domain site today so hit me up! and dont forget to leave me a message! "modifiying any vehicle to perform better than stock from any angle is just plain retarded...no matter how you look at it." Do the performance upgrades you are dissing include engine performance? Because that would be different from stock. Look, I realize that the MS is not a performance vehicle. ( I just wish it got better gas mileage). I enjoy seeing what people's imaginations and talents can produce when applied to a car. "No body wants to see your lowered(or raised) show vehicle stop traffic cuz it just plain can't do any better. " As far as show vehicles are concerned, I am of the opinion that if you spend time talent and money to make a rolling statement, you should drive the hell out of it. I show my mustang as much as I feel like, and it has a **** load of horsepower to bitchslap hondas and other ricers, as well as camaros and vettes. When I drive my stang, I enjoy the looks I get from the chicks riding in their boyfriend's cars. ;D Keep it low OZ!

You all make a good point about showing your pride and joy but the only thing I don't get is why insult another man just because his taste is different than yours. Hanging out with racers, I've seen domestic beat imports and vise versa. To me if you spent time to make your ride a little or a lot better than others, you get my respect. That is also why we have so much variations. We all are not after speed. So if your car is modded, what ever it may be you should put your head up. I myself, like the sleeper look. I'm not a poser and I don't like to advertise what I have under the hood.

The MAS adaptor enable me to put a K&N conical filter (taking out the stock airbox). I got the MAS adaptor from this site. www.extrememotorsports.com/g2cat/Instead of buying the Injen intake, I just went with this set up and i saved half. I got the cone filter straight from K&N. They have a lot to choose from. I think the cone filter cost around $45. As far as perfromance gain, I'm not quite sure about that. You can only find out if you put your vehicle on a dyno, and since it's not cheap to do that, i didn't do it. All I know is that the get-up is much quicker than when I had the stock airbox. It also makes a distinct sound since the restriction from the intake was taken out allowing more air flow. AL

That's cool, I think mitsu uses the same MAS for it's recent models (don't qoute me on this). We install the same setup in my friends galant. The adapter we got is for a 2nd generation eclipse. He just fabricated the tubing himself. So if you can fit the same adapter, I would assume that it's the same. It may have differences as far as wiring though, so ask Joel. about it.
