I finally uploaded all the pictures that I took when installing my after market fog lamp with factory look. I didn't explain in details on how I did it but I took a lot of pictures and hopefully you can use your imagination if you want to try it at home . Here is the link: www.ac.wwu.edu/~ngop/

Gooday. This is EXACTLY what I want to do! Congratulations - it looks fantastic.
Tell me please - what type of fog lights did you use? Are they Mitsubishi or an after market brand?
Do you know the brand and part number?
Love all the photos. No need for words - you pics say it all.
Out of interest! Why did you remove the headlights?
Cheers
Dave

thank you so much for this post!!! i've been wanting to put foglights on my 99 ls for so long but didn't want to do it without guidance (scared i'd screw up my bumper cover). thanks. a few questions. what holds the bezel in place? is there a bracket that holds it there? did you use the factory wiring? thanks for the help.
ps~ i too would like to know what lights you chose to use. they look great!!

For the fog lamp, I used a Hella optilux 1180, I paid $49.71 shipped. The bezel parts cost me $38.87 shipped and the bracket parts, I got them at Home depot for about $11. So for the whole project, it cost me about $100.
I used the the wire set provided with the lamp because it is cheaper and I didn't have to look for the factory wire and parts that I couldn't find. Also I can connect the lamp the way that I want without messing with the original wire. (ie. I can connect the fog lamp directly to +12V so that i can have the fog lamp ON only with the head light OFF but I didn't wire like that because I will forget to turn them off).
I removed the head light to get everything out of my way so that i can hide all the wires nicely. If i have taken any picture of the wire, you probably won't be able to tell where are them.
The bezels are just forced in with a screw driver, so make sure not to cut the hole too big. Don't cut too close the line. You can always adjust it little by little later on. (they hold by themselve, no need external hardware).
I hope this will help, and good luck.
PS: can Joel copy all the pictures and store them in the DIY link because I don't know how long I will be able to leave them at my school server. Thank you.

hey Jay . . . is there any way that you can get all the pics from mXtrois's site and save them to the DIY page? that information is SO helpful and it would be a shame to lose it if he can't keep it on his school computer. thanks.

I'll start to save them. I will post the pictures in the DIY page when I get a chance. I have been extremely busy lately. Thanks.
