I saw different photos of trucks with roof racks. I do have Thule bars and I'm not happy with the brackets Thule sold me to clip the bars on the factory mounted round bars (or almost round!).
When mounted, the bottom part of the clip stands about 3 mm from the roof... I'm afraid that the minute I will load the rack, the clip will lay directly on top of the roof...
What kind of racks you guys have? Is there anybody with Thule bars that have different clips?
Thanks!

kargomaster for sure. Best roof rack out there. Has a basket that you can then attach other items too.
i have had mine loaded with 250lbs. and taken on over 150 miles of off-roading, and not just fire roads. Rock ledges up to 2' tall, deep snow, LOTS of winching, lots of mud, lots of rocks, fallen trees to cross up to 3' in diameter. (had to bump over them or get the front over and winch the rest of the way)
The racks took the abuse and the added stress of being "off highway."

Thanks Cerof for your reply but I did not mention :-* that I already own a basket, a box, 2 bike racks and a ski rack so all I need is the two square bars... Or even the clips alone if they fit on thule bars.
Any idea?
