Still at it with the grilles.... Has anyone cut out the vertical lines off of the front bumper grill? I did a photoshop rendition of this, see pic below. I'm just curious if there will be any adverse effects to the horizontal lines of the grille when I do this. Comments are welcome. BTW, I saw a member do something interesting with the bumper grille where he painted the vertical lines black to accomplish the same look.

it will probably make it wobbly. for my 98 montero sport, i can bend the two big bars going across now that i cut off the vertical bars. i don't think they are going to flap at high speeds like the evo wing you can get on lancers. and those definately aren't gonna save you in an accident, so.....

I proceeded to cut the vertical pieces from the bottom and boy the bottom horizontal line sagged! I went ahead and reinstalled the front license plate. That was a bad idea! I will check out Grill Tech to see if they have something for the upper and lower grilles.

kinda off topic, but your hyper white lights look pretty good. i put some hyper whites in the front map lights, but i ended up using some blue led lights for the overhead ones, which aren't bright at all. my blue license plate lights faded back to yellow in about a month.
your grill looks pretty clean. you might want to get some plugs/caps to cover up the license plate holes.
