Dupli-Color Caliper Paint Kit from Advanced Auto Parts It took me about half a day to paint all 4 brake calipers. This time also includes cleaning each of the wheels. All you need to do is remove the wheel, spray down the brake caliper with the included caliper cleaner (which looks like a bottle of brake cleaner), wipe down the calipers (wear a mask and use a metal wire brush), tape the rotors with included masking tape, and paint away with included paint and brush. The paint dries really fast on the calipers, so I put the wheel back on after 10 minutes, although it says to wait an hour or so. Just don't move the car for 12-24 hours. I might go back and paint the metal cover for the brake pad for kicks.

since the stock wheels are so big, you can really only see them if you are perpendicular to the car. i think it's nice and subtle that way.

that looks nice man! for anyone else out there that wants to do that a tip is to use tinfoil to mask it off. some times its a pain to get the paint to stick. not all of ours are as clean as that when masking! lol Oz

A word of advice- buy several more cans of brake cleaner and really make sure you get the calipers nice and clean before moving onto the painting part of the project. I used the same kit and color and cleaned my calipers very very well and got excellent results. With any type of painting job ( ie staining a deck, epoxy on the garage floor, or painting the house, etc) the results is only as good as the preparation. The pics below is from my 92 Mitsu 3000GT . Its been over a year since i did this mod and it still looks the same as these pics. (i painted the whold caliper then grinded off the raised lettering "Mitsubishi" for a sportier look) Joel, CA
