dumb question, has anyone successfully added another in dash cd player to a ms limited while still keeping the cd changer reciever? I have seen pictures somewhere that people have added one on the bottom deck on the dash, but a guy a best buy told me if i did that, the factory cdchanger/radio/cassette/reciever deck would not work since there was only one set of connections. can anyone testify against this?

I have an 02 LTD and had a mitsu dealer ad a stock 6 CD changer while connecting it to the stock CD/radio. No problem. Stock CD changers are installed in the very bottom pocket space. I even had a serius radio installed in the middle section. All work quite well. I add CD's through the changer instead of the single radio/CD but they work there as well.

i actually installed my deck on the lower portion of the double DIN and put the pocket on top..... to make it a little more hidden. so technically its in the bottom slot. it works and bolts in fine. but yeah the bust buy guy has it nailed.... unless you splice the wiring but i thing that would be on the list of "bad Ideas" unles you get a custom wiring job done..

well I found out you can have this professionally done, most custom audio stores, Soundwaves here in TX, can install a switch box, then connect it to another head unit which goes in the bottom emtpy slot in the dash, so you can use both head units one at a time.
the cost of the box is about $100 on top of whatever you pay for the new head unit, Im waiting for motivation to get it done

if you can install it yourself it wouldnt be that hard to t-tap into the wires for another radio setup.
