I installed my Jet V-Force chip last night on my 3.0L MS. The chip indicates that it is working. I started it last night and drove around for an hour. I could tell the difference and all seemed well. This morning I started my truck to go to work. It started fine but the "service engine soon " light came on and stayed on. I'm going to get the code read tomorrow A.M. Any body have any experience with installing this product in their MS ?

Are you using premium gas? I beleive it advances your timing and you now need premium.
That happens on my friends mirage everytime he put regular gas in with the jet unit.

OBDII systems are growing more and more advanced and certain monitors are more sensitive than ever before as a means of controlling emissions. Have the trouble code read and see what comes up.

I'm running premium. I'm going to get the code read and cleared and then turn off the unit to see if the light comes back on after driving for a day. I'll go from there. I only have one other idea what might be causing the service light to come on. The Jet chip is wired so that it comes on when the key is turned to the accessory position, so..................... it's getting power before the ECM does? I think that might be confusing the ECM and throwing a trouble code. I 'll try wiring the Jet chips "hot" wire to a circuit that only gets power when the key is in the run position. Hopefully that will work.
