Regardless of what you do to the stock ignition- the spark plug will only fire the amount of "required voltage" is neccesary to ignite the air/fuel mixture. Beefing up the ignition system will increase the available voltage- but unless you're sucking in way more air and fuel over stock (which will raise the required firing voltage) - the required voltage will still be roughly the same or just slightly higher. With 1 coil for every 2 cylinders, i thing you should have some wiggle room and be okay with the factory setup. Besides that- you should only do 1 modification at a time (unless the mods have been done successfully by someone else). That way- should something go wrong- you wouldn't have to worry about trying to figure out which mod is causing the problem. Good luck!
PS- What are the cams you purchased intended for? Eclipse V6? Are the stock Cam profiles?

they are a stage 1 billet grind made the the montero sport 3.5. They will also make them 4 the 3.0. The lift duration is now like .340. I dont have the spec sheet on me right now but I will put it on with my dyno results, hopefully tommorow. It is deff sucking more air. The sucking sound is quite a bit louder than it was with the tb bore and the open intake and the exhaust note is deeper. Best yet the check engine light came on and coded random missfire due prob to the slight lope of the engine but after a trip to dayton i shut the truck off and have not seen it since. Clay
