skip it. there is no quick fix. chips trick the computer into running richer/more gas more power.

No, more gas does not = more power. I did not look at the thing on ebay, but a chip will advance the timing and require a higher octane fuel (prevent detonation) and this is where a chip gets its most power.
It doesn't add extra fuel unless you are running a super charger or turbo charger.
A chip is still going to try for that magic ratio of air to fuel. It will sometimes change the shift points that make the vehicle feel more quick and sometimes does make it quick. But the "umph" is from advancing the timing.

correct. Advancing the timing. Like what you have done, cwic, by advancing the timing so much, that with his other upgrades, he is getting detonation and pinging. He is going to retard the timing to prevent the predetonation/pinging.

havent got the gears in yet but ther comming. when i do i will be retarding the timing belt timing
