ya go to Auto zone and buy the spectra hose kit with the 65 degree bend in it for like 45.00 Or just use the stock hose and it will do the same thing. To each his own though.

So there is a pretty deep creek that we like to run through......what happens if i get this intake wet, anyway of protecting it from water without gettin a snorkel?

Um you could not go through the deep creek. My friend did and almost ruined his entire truck interior and his engine I would get a snorkel if trying to attempt this or just don't go up any higher than the door jambs.

yea i got stuck once and had a muddy interior, got a special carpet cleaner and looks almost like its new. So if i do get wet, is my stock intake better to have??

As long as water does not enter the engine you are fine.

yes the stock would offer more protection. i belive u r not supposed to go deeper than the mitsu emblem. there is a inlet to the intake on the pass side and if water gets i it it goes into the intake. but there is also a evap canister( i belive) in the rear on drivers side that u are not supposed to submerge on some models. would have to look into if before purchasing a snorkel. clay

Yes I would have to agree with Cwic due to the design of the stock intake(not so exposed although a snorkel would cure all worries.

I would think it is a 3 inch. Although a pair of calipers and a few miuntes would tell you exactly what it is.

you said you got the spectre kit from autozone, but how did you hook up your mass air flow sensor to it? was thinkin bout gettin that kit from autozone myself but wasnt sure if it would work because of the mass air flow sensor!! Did it add much power, or a noticeable difference? Please email me at ibstormn@gmail.com and let me know!! Thanks

u will have to get a adaptor plate. it will be louder with a little better throttle response. Clay
