Joel, I got both ATF and rear LSD replaced yesterday. I got the LSD gear lube from Mitsubishi as you recommended. Quiet expensive though- 4 liters for $55. No sound heard while making a tight turn, so I guess I save some money on friction modifier. About ATF replacement, I hit a speed bump. After taking 16 bolts off the oil pan, I just realized that there are three more hide above cross member. After placing a jack under the tranny and trying to remove the cross member, another shocking news: I wouldn't be able to slide out the oil pan w/ the dip stick tube sticks up so far (I didn't jack up my MS). I was tired, so I decided to tighten those bolts back up and filled up the tranny w/ new ATF, then called it for a day. My MS just hits 60,000 miles mark, so do you think I need to take out the filter screen and magnets and clean them up or I can get by as it is now? Thanks,
TL (tdm850)

TL,
Our transmission service consists of a simple drain and fill for that transmission (98 and older w/V6 Asian Warner). Sometimes, I'll remove the pan and clean out the screen if the transmission gasket is already leaking (which is VERY seldom) in which case, there's really nothing much to clean out. On the 99 and newer MS (with an INVECS Mitsubishi transmission), there is an actual filter inside the trans pan that can be replaced optionally during a transmission service.
