Hey everyone.. Just back from a great trip to North Carolina, and the Nantahala River Gorge for some whitewater and camping.. Didn't get to take it off the pavement (cept to get to the campsite), as my wife would have lost it!!! BUT was a great time anyway! Keep the camp gear in the trailer and roofrack, and pack very little in back to relieve the rear springs... bout 2000 lbs of gear total plus four adults. We managed to average 19 mpg throughout the trip, get about 21 unloaded.. Wife won't let me toughen up my Monty (cause it's her daily driver), so I keep him stock and as perfect as I can. Monty managed the trip perfectly, and with the exception of a few stops to cool down on the climb up the Newfound Gap Road through the Smokies.. once again proved the Montero's capabilities. never owned a more reliable vehicle !

lol noone's ever called it a sweet ride! I keep it bone stock, and in as good a shape as I can..
the trip was amazing, two weeks of hiking, camping, and whitewater rafting in the Smokie Mountains.. BEAUTIFUL..

thanks i appreciate that!! i do my best.. i actually searched for months to find that color.. not really popular in the kansas city area apparently! wouldnt trade it for anything J

I feel the same way! Kansas city Missouri? Thats not too far from where I live! I live like 40 minutes north of OKC!! I also searched from November to January to find my full monty!!! They are very hard to find! Nice ride and good luck!!!
