Hello, I got rid of my custom 2000 MS awhile back and got myself an Evo.
Well, now I am in the market for an older MS with the Offroad Package.
I am not super interested in options or add-ons, as this will be a project truck for me. Good general maintenance and proof of known problematic issues not actually being a issue are a prerequisite. IE: drivetrain maintenance, TC maintenance, timing belt services, rear cam seal NOT leaking, etc. I would be perfectly happy with an all stock, well maintenaced unit.
If you are someone looking to sell your Montero Sport, feel free to reply.

Mine is for sale. Timing belt done at 62K miles. Royal Purple in diffs and for oil. Mitsu stuff in transmission and t-case. Electric sensor for t-case replaced. 4WD works perfectly as does low range. Transmission shifts nice and smooth.
I do not *have* to sell it, but my buddy is a fleet manager and is taking in 10 suburbans from a bank that are their "corporate suburbans" and we need a larger vehicle for the family.
I'd LOVE to get $7K, but would take $6,500. Tires have half tread. Has the Old Man Emu 2" lift. ARB air compressor is wired in CORRECTLY and switch mounted in a factory location.
Let me know if you are interested. It has 86K miles. It is an '01 XLS. It does not have the "off-road" package. It does have Class III hitch and 7-way plug flush mounted in bumper. Factory fog lights.
It drives straight and true. No oil spots on driveway. No leaking diffs. It's a solid running vehicle. If I could afford to maintain 3 vehicles I would.
Let me know if you are interested.
