Hey all, I know a few of you are running 33's out their and I'm wonding how much more shackel i need in the back and how much torsion crank i need to run 33's. I'll probably go with the new MTR's or stay with BFG (but switch to MT's) and im going to go with a 15x9 or 15x10 inch rim with a bit more (one or two inches) back spaceing than the stock. I'm guessing like 2front and 2rear. I'm going to go with the low profile bump stops too to make up for lost down travel up front.
As always, Thanks in advance Chris in NM

The guy that I know that was running 33" tires at the time, had his torsion bars nearly maxed and had the rear lifted 2" or more on the back. But the back isn't really a concern. It's the front. You pretty much have to have the ARB bumper to run 33" tires or do a lot of cutting. But even with the 2.5" lift and the ARB bumper you still need to cut and move back the back edge where the mud flap is on the wheel well.and do some pounding in the wheel well. And he was running 15x8 rims at the time. I don't know what back spacing he was running. I am running the 32" MTRs with the 15x7 rims and the ARB bumper and the 2" lift. I didn't have to trim anything. Let me know what you come up with for the low profile bump stops. Most of the guys that run the 33" tires trimed their bump stops down. Being they don't make a low profile bump stop that fits the MS.
