I've decided to move from petroleum based motor oil over to the synthetic blend first. I think that using the half-synthetic, half-petroleum blend will help the engine adjust to the synthetic properties easier. Then I'll make the switch over to full synthetic sometime in the future. RG

RG The "regular" oil I used up until 15,000 was in fact a synthetic blend(QS4X4) It seemed to act more like a regular petroleum though. Truck seemed to run ineffeciently after 3,000 or so miles. Your point is well made as this may be the case in my situation.
