So I purchased my 2002 Monte Sport from Car max in 2003 with 8,200 miles. Thought it was a fair price at $14,900, Only It had some weird things about it. First thing I noticed was the tires, it had Bridge stone Duller H/T's on the front and Yokohama's Geo landers on the rear. Wasn't a big deal I asked for four matching tires and it was a done sale. Also the engine cover was missing and I didn't catch it. So now here I am looking for one. If anyone has an extra one let me know what thy want for it. I would take it with either the 3.5L print or the 3.0 print. what ever anyone wants to unload.

I found a 2000 Montero Sport at a local scrapyard. I may go there next week to take the trailer hitch off. I could check and see if it still has the engine cover. How much are you willing to pay for it?

Im not sure what thay go for new but I would think no more then $35-45 bucks. Tell me if you think im being too cheep. (my wife sure likes to) But I would realy apriciate it if you coud work out some deal for it. I am acualy going to be in Denver over the thanksgiving holiday with my wife and kid. If your somewhere close we could make a trip to pick it up (depending on where you are)

I seriously doubt the scrapyard would ask more than $20 for it. I'll get it for you if I decide to go there (and if it's still on the car). I'm very close to Denver, so we could certainly arrange a pick up. Saves some shipping expenses

That would be great, it would really ease my neurotic perfectionist personality, We will defiantly be in Denver over the holiday, staying in Westminster, I know were planning for sure on going to Georgetown (my 5 year old loves trains). We are also taking a day trip to Estes Park and R.M.N.F. So if your anywhere around Denver we will be all over. So If you can get that cover by chance let me know, I will get you my number and we can get together. We will be in Denver Wensday the 25 and heading back to KC Monday.

This has got to be your lucky day I went to the scrapyard this afternoon and took off the trailer hitch and wiring harness. Turned out to be original Mitsubishi hitch, with their logo on the hitch cover. I Like that ;D It also had the engine cover, so I took it off for ya. The guy only charged me $5 for it Just send me a PM and we'll discuss a time and place around Thanksgiving for you to pick it up. I'm in Broomfield, wich borders with Westminster. I'm thinking you're only a 5 minute drive away from me P.S. Sorry Bdmontero....no fog lights or leather seats on this car.

Thats great man thanks for helping me out. the part looks great and the price is even better. I have to say my wife gets pissed when ever I want to spend any money thats not a "necessity" but she cant be mad now its only $5 bucks. Any way thanks again and I will send you my number and we can hook up. By the way we are defiantly staying at the Weston in Westminster and will be in broom field most of our trip as thats where most of our family lives.

Not a problem You mean the Westin hotel? Your daughter will love the Dave & Busters right next to it My wife is kinda the same way. But I always tell her I save so much money by not going to the dealer. Recently saved about $1,000 by doing the timing belt myself. That usually makes her happy again ;D You a Chiefs fan? The Broncos play the Giants on Thanksgiving Day

Yea were trying Its hard to stay fans after so many bad years. But who knows next year, after all "this is a rebuilding year" You wouldn't happen to have extra tickets to the Game at INVESCO Field would you?
