So I've got a flowmaster with duals, and on the muffler, it's 1 in and 2 out. Well after a year of muffler, I've decided I want a normal factory muffler put on, but leave the dual exhaust on. I went by the place that installed everything the first time and asked them to put a factory muffler on, they said ok, then lifted it up and said that there's no such thing as a factory sounding muffler that has 2 out. They said factory sounding mufflers only have 1 in and 1 out. Is this true? Because I've seen cars with factory sound and duals. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Factory sounding for your truck would be 1 in and out, could that be what they mean.

Ha, well I guess its partly true, depends on what type of vehicle you have, and the amount of space available back there. Have you tried flowmaster for a more quiet dual out muffler? Better yet, order some headers for your truck, I'm sure they could work something out then

maybe you should ask for the quietest 1 in two out they have. if you say factory, then they say 1-1, because that is factory. Look at Gibson Exhaust, they "claim" to be the quietest in cab. and walker mufflers are supposed to be factory quiet too. either way, you are looking for a "custom" really quiet 1 in 2 out exhaust. let us know what you find.
