So far, I've replaced all the door speakers and the head unit..along with adding two more speakers in the dash area (My model only came with the housing, so we cut out the holes and added 4" Kickers there too), now I'm thinking of adding two more to the rear area. Anyone ever do this with their Montero? I'm thinking there are where the compartments are, there are grills right next to them which looks like open spaces so it shouldn't be too big of a deal to install them there. Already got my eyes on a pair of kicker comps to finish the set and have it all matching. If that's not the best area, anyone have any other suggestions?
Also, while it doesn't bother me too much NOW, my semi-OCD is bound to kick in...for whatever reason, the lighting on my gear shift and A/C lighting (except for the green light that indicates its even on) are out...I checked the fuses and nothing seems to be blown...anyone know how I'd go about fixing this?

Do yourself a favor and do not put speakers back there. It will only make it sound worse than it already does. You want to keep the sound up front with you. Do yourself another favor and (just for experimental purposes) fade the sound all the way to the front. Gradually add it back to the rear until you can barely hear the rears kick in. Now, see how much better that sounds? Music is recorded in 2 channels. Left and right. This means that having any more than 2 channels (your front L and R) is probably going to do more harm to your soundstage than it does good.
