I saw the advertisement on the home page for the power chip and was wondering if any has tried it and does it work..I have been tuning subarus for more than 10 years but found chips just dont do it..I went with a programable stand alone for my subie workes great but would like to add a little performance to my 99 Sport..Any feed back would be great

I dont know about the power chips, but I have been told by my mechanic that the mitsubishi computers have a lot of room for adjustment to tune how u like your power delivered,eg more top end power or more bottom mid range etc.

The best bet for a cheap mod would be a safc. Chips dont work, reprograms dont work right and the sport ecu has no room for tuning. It is tough to get a piggyback to produce the results you want so dont waste you time. A safc can not tune open loop the only way to do that is with a Piggyback and even then results vary and are hard to come by with out extensive knoledge/ research or a good chunk of change.
