Just some info for guys like me. I live in NYC and wanted to upgrade my rear suspension. It was Bottoming out all the time. I didn't want a lift but I couldn't take anymore so I ordered the old man emu rear springs and shocks but before I installed them I cut two coils off. Let me just say it was perfect. Looks great and even with 3people and stuff in the back no bottoming out what ever. I'm very happy with the ride no more Embarrassing ride! And it just looks stock. ;D ;D

Hey, I saw your answer to my post regarding Air Lift and think you might be right, springs are a better way to fix this. Now, I'll be travelling to the US in september (Tampa) and plan on buying these. Did you buy them online? what model # did you get? Mine is the equivalent of the us 2004 GLS 4x4.

I've been perusing these threads now for the past couple of weeks about the stock suspension that's so weak in the MS. Seems like everyone has either gone with Old Man Emu springs (for the permanent fix) or Air Bags (for the temporary fix) on the rear coils, and cranking down the torsion bars on the front to level it out. Has anyone ever tried replacing the stock coils with some used Jeep Wrangler coils? Found some on Craigslist for $50... just wondering if it's worth looking in to.
I'm not trying to break the bank with a new suspension, and my MS never goes off-road. But riding with 2 adults in the back seat and having it bottom out is a little ridiculous. I know it would probably result in a little bit of a lift and a stiffer ride (which I'm ok with); any problems you guys foresee with going this route?
BTW my MS is an '02 with 155k-ish miles. All stock.

I only worry about fit. If they do fit I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work.
