A couple of days ago my Mitsubishi just wouldn't start, the air and radio work indicating that the battery is fine but the engine will not completely start. I knew when I got the car that it had and oil leak and that I would have to check and change the oil regularly, I but I I don't know if that would cause any problems with the motor not starting. The only way to get the car to move is to keep the accelerator at 1000 rpm. If you could let me know anything or give me some indication as to whats wrong that would be much appreciated, thank you.

It sounds like oil has been leaking on your starter. So you need to replace your rear cam seals. The seals cost 3 bucks you need 2. There's a DIY on how to do that it's very simple, it's only about a 30min job. If you are having idle issues then your IAC is probably bad, that is a 160 dollar part but it should fix your problem with that and it only takes about ten min. to change out. If your rear cam seals are leaking your probably in need of your front cams seals as well but those require your t-belt to be disassembled. If your front cam seals are leaking then you will be needing a new alternator soon as well because oil will leak on to that and ruin it. Your Valve Cover Gaskets probably are leaking too so you will need to change them as well because if they are then you will have oil in your spark plug wells and your starter will continue to go out as well. Hit the back of your starter with a rubber mallet, it should work until you get a new one.
