I will email them and find out if they know anything. I need to check and see if my kit is ready yet. I am growing ready to roll with my hog nose rings....

Here's the word on the grey seat kits..
O3' MS owners are in luck!! Memo from dealer follows:
Loren, excuse me but my production facility is making a liar out of me. The kits won't be in until next week probably Wed or Thursday. Don't worry I haven't forgotten about you guys. I guess when I told them I needed 5 instead of 1 they held up production so they could make all 5 at once. As for the other years we are pretty sure these won't fit the 2000 and we did get confirmation that they do fit the 2003. In fact they are suppose to fit the 2004. I even checked with our competition and they said the same. So sorry for the delay again and I will keep you posted. Thanks. Jason TEXT

That's great news! Okay....now a couple questions?
1. What is the price Jason quoted you for these, including shipping?
2. Where can I get the tools I need (hog ring pliers, hog rings, anything else?)?
Thanks for your help!

What is the difference between the 2000 interior and the 03 of 04. I was just at the dealer the other day looking at an 04 and I did not see a difference in the seats and when I say that I mean the seat controls the way they flip or move the shape of the seat. I dunno I am just curious to know why.

exactly...my undertsanding is that the only true differenc for anything 2000+ is the trim level (model) and engine size...believe anything 2000+ is the same, interioir-wise, with the exception of the rear seat armrest/cupholder (which i wish wouldn't be covered) wish joel could get a look at this question...

mbarcus, the answer to your questions are: Jason quoted MonteroSportOnline members a price of $360.00 and 15 bucks for shipping, so $375 bucks will get you a set. In essence you'll save the shipping by buying direct from him as it will cost you $385.00 dollars plus the 15 bucks shipping if you buy it on ebay. look back in this thread somewhere and I posted Jason's email addy and let him know your interested and he can help answer your questions as well. But I don't mind asking him if that's what everyone prefers.
Hog nose rings and pliers are available at most hardware stores here in Iowa. I know I can get them at Ace Hardware and True Value if its available where you live. If not, just type in Hog Nose Rings in a "Google" search and you can get what you need for less than 20 bucks.
We actually use hog nose rings to tag livestock here in the Heartland so they are very much available. Hope this helps.
As for the model years and changes, I don't really know and haven't done the research. I am just going on what Jason tells me and I forward on the message. Hopefully Joel will check this out and help us or even Air Force One as he is very knowledgeable about interchangability... Loren
Sorry kcmedic bout the 2000 model, you had my back last week when I was pissy. Thanks.

HawkeyeSport,
Any word from Jason on getting the grey kits in? I got an email from him last week confirming the price of 375 (s/h including) and that he expected the kits in this week. Have you heard anything from him on their due date?

I got an email from Jason today that the grey kits are in. I paid him the $375 via paypal and he shipped it today...I already got the UPS tracking number! I'll be out of town next week, so I won't get to see the covers til the 30th. I'll post a mini review when I see them, and then I'll take a lot of pics during the install (doing it myself) and post those as well.

mbarcus,
sent my 375 via paypal today also.. Getting excited to get to work on installing these myself also. I'll also take pics and we can compare notes.
RTF, will take the pics of my led back up lights when the MS returns. The wife took 3 friends and road tripped from Iowa to San Fran, LA, and Vegas. Been gone for 5 days now and due back early next week.
I feel like a king as the wife chose the MS over her Avalon for the Road Trip. That has to say something for how sweet the MS really is. Plus I told her Joel would hook her up with all the MS add-ons for cost. Right Joel ;D ??

Leather kit arrived today. Initial inspection is nice. The seating area has added foam padding for a little more comfort. I will lay everything out in the morning and snap a picture and see if I can figure out how to attach it here. The wife and I are going to try the front passenger seat Friday night after the kids go to bed. Looks like I will be sleeping on the couch the next few days til its all done. Loren

Got my kit in on Wednesday, but I was out of town until last night. First impressions are the kit looks nice. Unfortunately, I have to wait another week or so to begin installation because I ordered seat heaters as well....they won't be in until next week at least.

Got too excited to take pics of the 1st seat installation.
But tore out the passenger front seat. Had to remove the center console to get the last seat bolt out. Then started tearing the seats apart.
4 bolts hold the "butt" seat on the frame. Then 4 bolts hold the galvanized baseframe on the foam seat. 8 bolts and your ready to remove the old seat cover. Get some wire cutters and snip the old "hog rings" off the seat cover and remove it. A razor blade cuts a couple of holes in the new covers and then connect the hog rings. Hog ring pliers are important!! Cost me 7 bucks for a pair, but I had to search to find them in the ag-world of the Midwest. Look at a hardware store.. I will take pics of the drivers side on Monday but this is super simple. Took me 2 hours from tear out to install on the front passenger seat. Most everything on the 02' is velcro or plastic clips that connect. I didn't even look at the websites offered from the alinc@sbcglobal.net This is a super easy install at least on the front seats. Will take pics of the drivers side and back seats on Monday as I am sure this will go fast. I talked to an auto upholsterer today and he said he can do it in four hours. The whole car in 4 hours. That back 60/40 looks like it will take awhile. Actually did the headrest in about 10 minutes. Also, the new kits have zippers that are sweet and work great. Will follow with pics.
