Okay confirmed. Only fits a 8 inch front end. They only sell front lockers for 97-04 montero sports.

I am dumb, what are lockers? New isn't the same as dumb. Lockers, as I can best describe them (no doubt others could probably do better), "lock" the power between both sides of an axle so whenever the locker is engaged power is divided equally between the two side. (normally more power goes to the tire rotating faster- such as when turning a corner and the outside wheel has to travel further and thus turn faster to make the turn.) When off-roading, this means that when one tire looses traction (say due to being off the ground) more power goes to that side. A locker maintains equal power to both sides- thus the one still on the ground has the power to keep the vehicle moving.

Just be careful since its a posi trac. Without manual hubs you could snap something in front faster than micheal jackson grabs kids.
