I have 6000k hid's in mine. Overall, I am satisfied with them, but the cutoff line is horrible. Since we don't have projector lenses, don't expect people to see that change of color when they approach you.

Do you have any pix of the 6000k HIDs?

not really a good representative picture of 6000k HIDs though, since it's in the middle of the day, and I'm not at the brightest angle of the headlights, but I guess it can give you an idea of the color.

don't those HIDs throw the light everywhere cuz the reflectors on our MSs aren't made for that much light? people get pissed when the light is not just in front of you, if you know what i mean. i'm all for bright lights, just focused light is better for all. i put the xenons in mine headlights and fog lights, it pushes out a ton of light with all 4 of them going.

Well sit, the fact that our cars use reflector is not as much of importance as it is to have the right bulb. There are two types of bulb, my uninformed friend. D2S and D2R. D2S is an unprotected sleeve that cars with projector housings use. Such as M3's, S4's, Evo's, etc There are vehicles that use a reflector style housing whilst employing high intensity discharge lights. Such a scenario requires a D2R bulb which includes a sleeve that creates a cut off line so that the the light is focused and is DOT legal for low beams. D2S bulbs feature an unfocused light source where the projector does the focusing. D2S in reflector housings are not DOT legal.

I might end up selling the Kit I got for my Montero. I seem to get alot of flashs. I knew before hand the reflector housings weren't the best idea for a HID kit, but I figured I'd give it a try.
