Give us the details! What is this doing for your performance?
How much did it cost?
Part #s where did you get it?
Thanks
Chas

Wow that looks awsome. How much of a boost in performance/HP/track time do you expect?

monturbo - here's what i would suggest. take it or leave it lol
aquire a few things.. SAFC 3kgt ECU from OBD2 car 3kgt mass air flow sensor knock sensor (if your truck doesnt have one)
then i would remove the FMU and the MSD
get wiring diagrams for the 3kgt ecu and the montero ecu, match up all the wires
add in the following wires (mafs plug from 3kgt) barometric sensor knock (if needed) injector resister box
i know it seems like a lot of work but it would eliminate a lot of the clutter you've got going on. at this point i dont know if the 3kgt ecu will plug in, but i will know soon enough. if it doesnt matching up wires wouldnt be that hard as long as you've got a pin out.
once this is done the truck will run on it's own and you can tune with the SAFC. if what you have works fine for you then so be it, but thats not the route i would go and i've been building turbo mitsu's for a long time.

oh and my clutch fan is eliminated and i have an electric fan in place
I LOVE IT less drag on the crank, better throttle response, better gas milage, way more room!!

i would really like to find out how compatable the two computers are. i like the way the car is set up because its simple, to a point. but, at the same time it has a "clutter" and that is robbing horse power. i plan to, in 8 months, to pull the motor, pull it apart and do somthings to it. by then you will hopefully have ecu wiring figured out dsm and i can start going towards what you mentioned because i think that what your talking about is going to be the best way to make more power, with a few mods to what what you posted. hopefully by this time next year i will have total gapless rings, heads that have been ported way out, custom cams from rpw, a bigger turbo and intercooler and better exhuast. one more thing dsm, have you ever used a maf translator? i have seen what they can do for 1st and 2nd gen eclipses and i know they make one for the 3kgt. im really leaning towards that

yeah i've used the MAFT, im not sure how well it would work right now, it's a piggy back system and you've already got a number of piggy back systems in your car...
as for the other mods, i personally would never use gapless rings on a turbo car. excess pressure needs to exit through the ring lands. i run .021 and .017 ring end gaps in my turbo cars. You would gain more power from ventilating your crank case properly.

so dsm is there a way to make the maft work in the sport?

so dsm is there a way to make thw maft wook in the sport? yes, im sure you can install it and use it just like your stock MAS but if you had a turbo ECU and ran the extra wires there wouldnt be a need for so many other piggy back systems involved.

yeah that is a very good point. on both topics. right now the rings are gapped for big boost, like 20ps+ and im running a lil more than a third of that so i use a whole lot of oil, like a quart every gas tank, and that sucks. so your right i wont do that.
on ventilating the crank case, what would i need? something like a positive crankcase vent system or what
